As a UX Consultant for Gamechaser, I helped the Brooklyn-based gaming startup refine their existing products, with specific attention to their upcoming messaging app-- Gamechat.im
One of the major focuses of this project was user research and testing: defining who would be using Gamechaser's flagship product and getting the live prototype into their hands for one-on-one testing. This entailed countless field interviews across New York, visiting industry meet-ups, even hosting an event ourselves in hopes of drawing potential users.
Ultimately, the project was a success. The foundational elements of the existing prototype were easily understood by the majority of new users. Through the insights we gained from our research, the team was able to imagine and implement a new defining feature for Gamechat.im: User Discovery. This breakthrough helped accomplish the biggest needs of Gamechaser's user base and differentiate Gamechat.im from its many competitors.
